I think educators have an incredibly difficult job. It seem like the list extra tasks added to their jobs just continues to grow making it harder and harder to put the time and energy into learning more ways to support their students. This guided journal was written to be an engaging and approachable method for them to be able to do so. If you are that dedicated educator, thank you for all that you do, and I hope that you find this book to be meaningful. If you have a dedicated educator in your life, I hope they find the book to valuable as well.

The first set of regulation tools are geared towards small movements. We tend to refer to these as fidgets; they can all easily sit on a desk, coffee table, or carseat, or they can fit in a purse, laptop bag, backpack, or maybe even a pocket.

The second set of regulation tools are geared towards large movements or full body engagement. Some of these can be helpful for people who like to move when they need to focus their brains. I have done countless virtual sessions while pedaling, and I can engage my whole body standing on the balance board at a standup desk. Each of these things can support people of all ages.
